I'm looking for high-end (gourmet if you will) pet food recipes.?

Primarily for small dogs, but recipes for cats would be good too. I would like to prepare the food myself and then freeze it as individual meals. I want to work with whole foods. Can anyone help me with that?I'm looking for high-end (gourmet if you will) pet food recipes.?

Here is a very easy recipe - simple to fix and nutritious:

Easy Beef Dinner

Ingredients:

8-9 ozs ground beef

7-8 ozs cooked pasta

1/3 cup cooked and mashed root vegetables

Method:

Simmer a generous 1/2 lb ground lean beef in a small amount of salted water or organic chicken stock for about 3 minutes. Combine with the pasta and vegetables. Serve a portion that is appropriate for your dog's size.

Dogs primarily are meat eaters. Though you may find it hard to give your pet raw meat, it is really the best thing out there. Try to avoid poulty and grains, as these are not easy for them to digest. Some good quality raw red meats will fill the need for protein and also some vegetables (primarily cooked) will be a good mixture. Be sure to avoid chocolate, coffee, onions, macadamia nuts, bread dough, raisins, and grapes, as these can be poisonous to your pet. Also, heres a site that has many recipes that you could feed your dog. I must tell you that I'm not so sure about cats diets however.
Dog Food Recipe Ingredients:

1 lb. beef liver liquefied in food processor or blender

1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix

2 teaspoons garlic salt

If your dog is crazy about liver treats, like most dogs, he/she will love this one.

Dog Food Recipe Directions:

Mix well spread into cookie sheet sprayed with Pam. Bake 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares, refrigerate. Will keep for about 2 weeks (if they last that long) or you can freeze them.
Ok. As a pet nutrition specialist, I can tell you that it is not nutritionally safe to make your own pet food. Pet food companies *well some of them* know just how to do it. I see folks all the time come in and ask for help because they have messed up with making their own food and actually caused a nutrient deficiency in their animal.
There are lots of sites out there, google (gourmet dog food recipes) you will find many.
